Senior Center Care Closet

The Senior Center Care Closet provides gently used medical equipment and personal care items to support the health, safety, and independence of our older adults. Items are available at no cost to seniors in need, as supplies allow.

Accepted Donations

We gratefully accept donations of medical equipment and care items that meet the following criteria:

• Items must be fully operational.
• Items must be clean and in good condition.
• Items must be safe for reuse.

The Senior Center reserves the right to decline donations if items do not meet standards or if storage capacity has been reached.

If we are unable to accept an item, donors may choose to bring it to the local recycling center or another appropriate disposal or donation site.

Commonly Available Items

Items available through the Care Closet may include, but are not limited to:

• Canes
• Walkers
• Wheelchairs
• Transport chairs
• Knee scooters
• Knee braces
• Bed rails
• Toilets / commodes
• Incontinence supplies (Depends and related care items)
• Other medical or assistive equipment as available

Availability may vary based on donations.

Donation Receipts

Donors may request a donation receipt for tax purposes at the time of donation. Receipts will include a general description of the donated items; no monetary value will be assigned and dependent on the donor.
