Emergency Notification

 CodeRED

The Town of West Boylston has contracted with Emergency Communications Network to deliver Emergency Notification Messages (previously known as Reverse 911) through the CodeRED high-speed notification solution. The CodeRED system provides town officials the ability to quickly deliver messages to targeted areas or to the entire town. CodeRED is replacing the Reverse 911 system that the Town of West Boylston used through the Worcester County Sheriff's Office.

Register your contact information with this system to ensure that you will be included! Accurate and up-to-date information is essential for you to receive critical information.

Businesses and residents should register to receive target information.  This registration is especially important if any of the following are true:

  • You are a business owner
  • You have an unlisted phone number
  • You have changed your phone number or address within the past year
  • You use a cellular phone as your primary number
  • You use VoIP as your telephone connection (such as Charter Phone or Vonage)
CodeRED allows geographically based delivery, which means that street addresses are required to ensure emergency notification calls are received by the proper individual in a given situation. Required information includes first and last name, street address (physical address, no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code and primary phone number. You may enter additional phone numbers and include TDD/TTY information as necessary. You can associate as many phone numbers with an address as you would like.

If you have more questions, view the Frequently Asked Questions.

NOTE:  Some users have reported problems using the CodeRED site with Internet Explorer as their browser.  If you experience a problem, please use another browser like Chrome or Edge.

When entering your phone number, just type in the number without dashes or space.  If you get a message "You must enter a 10 digit phone number that does not begin with a 1 or 0 and is not toll free", please check that you are not submitting an empty telephone number.  Only click the "+ Add Phone" button when you are adding multiple numbers.  The "Verify Information" button at the bottom of the page will submit the information.
