The Facility Implementation & Strategic Planning Committee was created by vote of the Board of Selectmen at its February 1, 2012 meeting. Members of the Committee are appointed by the Town Administrator for 2-year terms.  The membership of the Committee was amended on July 19, 2023.  Two members shall be Select Board members, appointed by the Select Board.  Two members shall be members of the Finance Committee, appointed by the Finance Committee.  Three members shall be residents of West Boylston, appointed by the Town Administrator.  Each member shall serve one-year terms.  The Town Administrator and Facilities Director serve as ex-officio/non-voting members.   

Mission
The mission of the Committee shall be to establish a strategic plan for the municipal buildings of West Boylston.  Once formulated, the Committee will begin the take the steps necessary to implement that strategic plan.  The Committee will work with the Capital Planning Committee and the Town’s Financial Team to formulate an acceptable way of dealing with the financing of such a plan.  They could be given general supervision over the design and construction of all public buildings, including the authority to employ professional assistance upon approval of the Board of Selectmen and, subject to specific authorization by the Town, to enter into contracts on behalf of the Town for the preparation of construction plans and specifications and for the construction of buildings and other structures. All such plans, specifications and contracts shall be developed in conjunction with and subject to the approval of the appropriate committee, board, or department head concerned.
