Senior Center Project Update

I am pleased to announce that we have taken several key steps toward the start of the new senior center project.  Upon the recommendation of the FISP Committee, the Selectmen have awarded two major contracts:

1. Cardinal Construction of Worcester MA has been chosen to be the Owners Project Manager (OPM) for the senior center project.  This is the same firm which has been expertly overseeing our police station project. We are very pleased that Tony DiLuzio will be the assigned project  OPM for the senior center as well. 

2.  Caolo & Bieniek Associates (CBA) of Chicopee MA has been chosen as the architect for the design of the senior center building.  This firm's design team includes architect John MacMillan who was the architect used for the design of the police station building. He has since joined CBA, and we feel confident he will bring that same cost effective design to the senior center project as well. 

We will soon begin adding regular updates about the progress of the senior center design to the website - as we have done for the police station.  We encourage any interested residents to attend the FISP meetings - which are held on the 2nd Wednesday evening of each month.
