2018 Sewer Rate Increase

On Oct 5th, the Board of Selectmen, in their capacity as the Board of Sewer Commissioners, approved an 8% increase in the Town’s sewer rates.  The last increase in the sewer rates was in 2010.  The costs of the sewer system operations have gone up in that time, and this rate increase will help us cover those increased costs. This increase goes into effect on the next round of sewer bills in 2018.  While sewer bills are based upon your actual water usage, the average residential sewer customers’ bills will go up by about $9.00 per quarterly bill.

This actual change in the rates is as follows:

Residential and Commercial Fee – will go from $35.00 to $37.80

Residential Rate – will go from $9.04 to $9.76

Commercial Rate –  Tier 1 will go from $11.30 to $12.20; Tier 2 will go from $15.30 to $16.52

More information on this rate increase will be made available in the coming weeks.
