Gas Permit & Fee Schedule

Individuals that perform gas work in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts must be licensed.

All licensed persons must register with the Town’s Building Department and provide a Certificate of Insurance prior to beginning any work.  No permits will be given unless there is a currently valid license and Certificate of Insurance on file.

Gas permit fee is $60.oo per inspection.

Residential Gas Permit Fees

• New construction: 1 and 2 family homes $75.00 base fee plus $60.00 per each required inspection
• All other work:  $60.00 per inspection
• Gas hot water heaters:  $60.00 plus a plumbing permit is also required

Commercial Gas Permit Fees

• New construction:  $150.00 base fee plus $60.00 per each required inspection
• All other work:  $60.00 per inspection
• Gas hot water heaters:  $60.00 plus plumbing permit.

• $60.00 per inspection
