Overnight Hour Work at I-190 Southbound at Exit 4

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing overnight maintenance work has been scheduled for the I-190 southbound exit 4 off-ramp (Route 12) in West Boylston.  The work will take place on Tuesday, November 28, during overnight hours from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.     

There will be temporary overnight traffic impacts to allow crews and contractors to conduct construction operations safely and effectively. During the overnight work, the following detour will be in place:    

  • When the I-190 southbound exit 4 off-ramp is closed, traffic will be directed to continue on I-190 southbound and use exit 3 (West Mountain St. Holden, West Boylston) in order to reverse direction and access I-190 northbound back to exit 4.  

The schedule for this work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.  

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.  

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
