Discontinuance of Presale of Cemetery Plots at Mount Vernon Cemetery

The Cemetery Trustees voted at its July 17, 2025 meeting, after posting public notice, to amend the 2024 Rules and Regulations concerning the sale of cemetery plots. 

Due to the shortage of available plots at Mount Vernon Cemetery the remaining plots will be sold on a as-needed basis only. No pre-sale of lots will be allowed until further notice. 

The Trustees regret that this decision had to be made and will work with other Town officials to find alternative burial options.
