Mission
The Town-wide Planning Committee encourages, assists, and reviews long- and short-term planning efforts by Town boards, committees, and officials, incorporating these efforts into a comprehensive Master Plan to guide the Town's future. The Master Plan shall be presented to Town Meeting for approval by the voters and reviewed and updated at least every five years.
Through collaborative input and inclusive representation, the Committee ensures that the Master Plan addresses capital needs, land use, open space, economic development, facilities, and other priorities essential to the future needs and values of the Town of West Boylston and its residents to support a greater vision in consideration of planning the future of our town.
Creation
The Town-Wide Planning Committee was established by town meeting vote on October 24, 1994 and amended by Article 12 at the Semi Annual Town Meeting on October 20, 2025. its provisions can be found in Chapter 109 of the General Bylaws.
