Home Modification Loan Program for the Elderly or Disabled

For interested homeowners, there is a Home Modification Loan Program (HMLP) established by the Massachusetts legislature that provides funds for individuals and families to modify their homes for an elderly or disabled household member with a  documented limitation. These loans allow homeowners in Massachusetts to modify their home to allow household members with disabilities or physical limitations to safely remain in the home.The HMLP lends from $1,000 to $30,000.   Depending on the household income, these may be 0% deferred loans.  To get more information about this program, please contact the agency overseeing the program in central Mass office:
