Changes to the Simple Recycling Program a/k/a the Pink Bag Program

As of August 1 there will be some changes to the Simple Recycling Program we often refer to as the Pink Bag Program. 

To avoid missed stops, Simple Recycling is now only conducting scheduled pickups.  They will no longer follow the Town’s curbside trash/recycling routes.   Residents will now be required to schedule their pickups by either going online to www.simplerecycling.com OR they may call 866-835-5068.  If you call and no one answers the phone, I am being told that means they are attending to another customer and you should hang up and try again a short time later.  The pickups will now be at your front door instead of curbside.  They have also eliminated the Pink Bags from the program.  You will be required to package your clean & dry recyclable material in self provided bags or boxes.
