The The Transportation Committee consists of 5 members who are appointed by the Town Administrator for 3-year terms.

The Transportation Committee was a recommendation of the Route 12 Master Plan and was established by vote of the Board of Selectmen on December 7, 2005. The Master Plan recommended that the Select Board appoint a Transportation Committee to ensure that transportation issues remain on the front burner.

Duties
As transportation encompasses more than just the Route 12 corridor, the Committee will have dealings with the WRTA, MBTA, and Central Mass Regional Planning Commission. The Committee shall work towards implementing transportation goals found in the Route 12 Master Plan and the West Boylston Master Plan and to offer suggestions to improve or add to the goals found in these two documents. Members may be asked to serve as Town liaisons to regional transportation organizations.

Mission
The mission of the Transportation Committee is to advise the Select Board and other Town Boards on transportation issues of importance to the Town of West Boylston, study needs and implement targeted improvements, Route 12 Corridor reconstruction, sidewalk and trail projects, and dangerous intersections.
