Project: Addressing the Community Housing needs of West Boylston 
Approved: October 15, 2018 ATM

July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018 
Funds allocated to secure the professional services of community housing specialists to advise the town in the area of affordable housing. A grant to the Affordable Housing Trust, not to exceed $25,000, was voted at October Town Meeting.

July 1, 2016- June 30, 2017
Project: $17,500 appropriated from the Undesignated fund balance to fund for Recreational purposes to install an artesian well in Goodale Park to supply water to the irrigation system for various athletic fields. To be expended under the direction of the West Boylston Parks Commission
Project: $25,000 appropriated from the fund balance designated for Affordable Housing for Affordable Housing purposes to pay for community housing services t oassist with affordable, senior and veteran housing needs, to be expended under the direction of the Town Administrator.
Project: $10,799 appropriated from the Undesignated fund balance for Recreation purposes, to pay for the installation of fencing at the high school baseball field, to be expended under the direction of the West Boylston Parks Commission.
Project: $172,500 appropriated for the purpose of acquiring, for open space purposes, approximately 12.51 acres of a parcel of land located on Goodale and Malden Streets, said land to be under the control of custody and control of the conservation commission. $145,251.23 shall be transferred from the Open Space fund balance and $27,248.77 shall be transferred from the Undesignated fund balance, and authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire said land by purchase, gift, and/or eminent domain and further, authorize the Board to grant a conservation restriction thereon.

July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016
Project: $20,000 appropriated from the Affordable Housing reserve to pay for community housing services to assist with affordable, senior and veteran housing needs;
Project: $29,654 appropriated from the Undesignated Fund balance to Fund for Recreational Purposes for the purchase of fencing at the High School baseball field and the little league "A" field
Project: $17,500 from Undesignated Fund balance to Fund for Recreational Purposes for the installation of an artesian well in Goodale Park to supply water to the irrigation system for various athletic fields.
Project: $52,817 from the Undesignated Fund balance to Fund for Recreational Purposes a grant for the expansion of a practice field at Goodale Park on the site of the old town pool/pine grove
Project: $10,750 appropriated from the Community Preservation annual revenues for committee administration expenses, commmunity preservation projects, and other expenses in FY 2017.

July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015 
Project: $20,000 appropriated from the Affordable Housing Reserve to hire a community housing specialist consultant to assist with the administration of Chapter 40B projects 
Project: $7,500 appropriated from the Community Preservation annual revenues for committee administration expenses, community preservation projects and other expenses in FY 2016.

July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014
Project: $11,000 appropriated from the Affordable Housing reserve to hire a community housing specialist to assist the Town Administrator and volunteer boards exercise more local control in the area of affordable housing, monitoring the state required Subsidized Housing Inventory, monitoring exsisting Chapter 40B projects, and protecting town interests in potential Chapter 40B projects.
Project: $10,000 appropriated from the Affordable Housing reserve to hire a community housing specialist to continue to develop a plan to assess the need and develop the location for affordable housing for seniors in West Boylston
Project: $50,000 appropriatated from the Open Space reserve to create a Master Plan for Goodale Park and surrounding town owned land
Project: $42,900 appropriated from the Historical Reserve for the preservation and/or rehabilitation of Section H of the Mount Vernon Cemetery
Project: $26,740 appropriated from the Undesignated Fund balance to fund the purchase of fencing and safety netting at the High School baseball field, girls' softball field and Woodland Park
Project: $7,500 appropriated from the Community Preservation annual revenues for committee administrative expenses, community preservation projects, and other expenses in FY 2015
Project: Rescinding the vote taken at the May 2012 Town Meeting , Article 15, which made appropriations for restoration of historic stained glass windows in the Masonic Lodge.

July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013
Project: $11,000 appropriated from the Affordable Housing fund balance to engage the services of a community housing speicalist to assist our community to exercise some local control in the area of affordable housing production by evaluating housing data and assessing town needs, whether rental or ownership, monitoring existing affordable housing, and providing technical assistance as a means fo preserve the expressed desires of the community.
Amend Funding Sources:Amend the funding source under Article 15 of the May 21, 2012 town meeting to reflect $25,651.23 coming out of the fund balance designated for historic preservation, $34,298.77 from the undesignated fund balance and $20,000.00 from the FY 13 estimated revenues for Historic Preservation Reserve.

July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012
Project: $11,000 appropriated from the fund balance designated for Affordable Housing; to hire a community housing specialist consultant for the creation of a conceptual plan and to assist with the administration of affordable housing projects in Town, to be expended under the joint direction of the Affordable Housing Trust and the Town Administrator.
Project: $79,950 appropriated from the fund balance designated for Historic Preservation ($45,651.23) and from the Undesignated Fund ($34,298.77) to preserve and protect the historic stained glass windows in the Masonic Lodge located at 12 Church Street, to be expended under the joint direction of the West Boylston Masonic Charity and Education Association, Inc., and the Community Preservation Committee. 

July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011
Project: $24,950 appropriated from the Historical reserve for a gravestone restoration to Section J of the Mount Vernon Cemetery

July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010
Project: $618,000 appropriated from the General reserve fund and short term borrowings against future CPA surcharges for the restoration of the tennis and basketball courts at Goodale Park. The project will also address the drainage problem at the park that led to the deterioration of the courts. 
Project: $70,000 appropriated from the Open Space reserve for the purchase of 5.5 acres of land on Lee Street that is adjacent to the wellfield of the West Boylston Water District which supplies drinking water to the residents of the town. This money was used as town matching funds to obtain a $70,000 State grant toward the purchase price of the land. 
Project: $25,000 appropriated from the Affordable Housing reserve to replace three roofs at the Orchard Knoll housing complex. The replacement of the roofs will prevent the further deterioration of the complex and help to preserve the Town's affordable housing stock. 
Project: $13,000 appropriated from the Historical reserve for a gravestone restoration to the oldest section of the Mount Vernon Cemetery. 

July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009
Project: $8,500 appropriated from the Historical reserve for a gravestone condition assessment at the Mount Vernon Cemetery. The assessment will enable the cemetery trustees to determine what the cost of restoring the gravestones will be. The intent of the grant is to enable the trustees to apply for othr grants to repair and restore the gravestones. 
Project: $3,000 appropriated from the Historical reserve to preserve approximately 600 glass plate negative photographs owned by the West Boylston Historical Society.  the photographs date back to the early 1900's. The project will also digitize the photographs, which will allow for much greater access by the public.
Project: $9,250 appropriated from the Historical reserve to repair the fireplace in the Mount Vernon Cemetery Chapel, the oldest town-owned building.
Project: $25,000 appropriated from the General reserve fund for architectural plans for the restoration of the tennis and basketball courts at Goodale Park. The project will also address the drainage problem at the park that led to the deterioration of the courts.
