Spring Town Meeting Preparations

A message from the Town Administrator

Our Spring Town meeting is set for Monday, May 15, 2017.   Behind the scenes we are already gearing up to get ready for this important part of town business.  There are many action steps that need to be completed prior to May 15th: 

1.       March 15, 2017  -  FY2018 Budget Presentation to Board of Selectmen:

          The Town Administrator will present the preliminary FY2018 Budget Recommendation to the Board of Selectmen as part of the Board of Selectmen’s Meeting.

2.      April 4, 2017  -  FY2018 Budget Recommendations to the Finance Cmte:

         The Town Administrator will submit final the FY2018 Budget Recommendations to the Finance Committee on or before April 4, 2017.

3.      April 4 through April 14, 2017 -  Finance Committee Budget Review Sessions:

         The Finance Committee will conduct FY2018 Budget Review Sessions and meet with appropriate officials on the FY2018 Budget from April 4 through April 14, 2017.

4.     April 4, 2017 – Deadline for Warrant Article Submission for May 15, 2017 Annual Town Meeting

        The Board of Selectmen will accept Annual Town Meeting Warrant articles from departments, boards and committees, as well as the public, until April 4, 2017.

5.     April 19, 2017 – Warrant Articles to be given to the Board of Selectmen at it’s regular meeting.

        The Board of Selectmen will acknowledge the list of warrant article received as part of their agenda package.

6.    April 26, 2017 – Board of Selectmen’s Public Work Session to Close and Approve the Warrant for the May 15, 2017 Annual Town Meeting

       The Board of Selectmen will conduct a public work session on April 26th to review the Budget, and close, approve and sign the warrant for the  Annual Town Meeting.

7.    April 28, 2017 – Posting and Printing of the Warrant

       The warrant for the May 15, 2017 Annual Town Meeting will be posted on April 28, 2017 and copies printed for distribution.

8.   May 15, 2017 – Annual Town Meeting

      Annual Town Meeting to be held at the West Boylston Middle/High School Auditorium on May 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
