West Boylston Rail Trail Re-opens
The West Boylston Rail Trail has re-opened! One of West Boylston's most popular outdoor attractions was closed in May due to beaver activity that caused a significant washout about one-quarter mile from the Oakdale entrance.
Thanks to the efforts of our Department of Public Works, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and Wachusett Greenways, the Rail Trail has been repaired and is ready for visitors.
Please join us on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakdale entrance for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of this effort. This ceremony will be held in conjunction with Wachusett Greenways Family Fun Day and the Springdale Mill Celebration. Stop by to enjoy games, food, music and trail exploration!
