Mission Statement
The mission of the West Boylston Housing Authority is to offer its residents a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment in which to live. We will seek out opportunities to serve both the community and our residents.
Housing
Orchard Knoll, located at 87 Maple Street is our state-aided public elderly/disabled and family apartment community. At this location, our community consists of 36 elderly/disabled housing apartments and 18 family apartments, some of which are handicapped adapted. The community building contains mailboxes, a laundry room, a library, a room for group activities and a fully equipped kitchen.

In addition, we also own 8 units of Special Needs Housing at a different location.
Eligibility
Eligibility for these programs is based on income and family size. Income limits are set by the commonwealth and are adjusted periodically. In addition to the income requirement, to be eligible for elderly/disabled housing, applicants must be 60 years of age or older or have a qualifying disability. By regulation, under-60 disabled individuals must compromise 13.5% of the total units, therefore, 5 apartments must be occupied by disabled individuals under the age of 60.
Residents of West Boylston have local preference and those who are veterans, spouses or surviving spouse of veterans qualify for an additional preference.
Applications
There is a waiting list for apartments at Orchard Knoll and applicants are encouraged to apply, as the wait for an apartment may be years. Please call the Housing Authority office and we will be happy to send you an application.

Board
The Housing Authority is made up of 4 elected members for 5-year terms and one position appointed by the Governor.
