If your main fitness activity is bicycling, you can test your cardio-respiratory fitness with a timed 3-mile bicycle ride. This test can be done on a bike track or on a measured section of road with few stoplights or stop signs.
Goal: To bicycle 3 miles as quickly as possible.
Directions:

Warm up by riding for a few minutes and stretching. |

Cycle 3 miles as quickly as you can. If you are doing this on the road be careful to obey traffic rules. |

Try to pace evenly. Time the ride with a stopwatch or a watch with second hands. Record the time. Record you exercise pulse. |
4. |
Cool down and stretch. |
