One of the goals that the Board of Selectmen has asked me to work on this year is to 'improve the Town's bylaws'.
In order to comply with this ambitious request, the Town Administrator will be holding an information session with the Town to determine how, in fact, the people of the Town would like to see the bylaws improved. I will then gather all comments and forward them to all Boards for their deliberation and consideration. I will invite the members of the Bylaws Committee to attend this meeting with the hopes that any changes will be brought forward at the October Town Meeting.
The hearing will be held on Thursday, September 4th at 7:00 p.m. and will likely last until 9:00 p.m. The Town Administrator will also accept suggestions and testimony via email at lgaumond@westboylston-ma.gov, via fax at 508-835-4102, via telephone at 508-835-3490, or via mail care of Leon Gaumond Jr., Town Administrator, Town of West Boylston, 127 Hartwell Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
Remember that the Bylaws of the Town are the 'rules and regulations' that govern the quality of life in West Boylston. If there are ways you feel the Town's Bylaws can be improved, then I would like to hear from you. If you wish to review the Town's current Bylaws, they can be found on the Town Clerk's website at http://www.westboylston-ma.gov/Pages/WBoylstonMA_Clerk/index.
